War On Boredom!

Have you ever found yourself at home, bored with nothing to do (who hasn't right)?  Perhaps you would like to find new and interesting websites.  You're probably a little mix of both.  Recently, I stumbled upon a new website titled www.stumbleupon.com, maybe you've heard of it, but I have not - you could say that I stumbled upon, stumbleupon.com....

The main purpose of this website is to help the user discover new and interesting websites.  The user can chose from several different interests such as; photos, paranormal, fashion, video, humor, animals, music, bargains and coupons, celebrities, puzzles, entertaining, television, movies, crafts, beauty, and many, many more.  The user can also choose to stumble all their interests or they can single out one specific interest.

Out of all of my chosen interests, I prefer to stumble upon the millions of humor websites.  Sometimes you the weirdest things show up- sometimes, I'm not too sure how they end up in the humor section...

The website allows the user to browse within the screen without losing the ability to "stumble" at will (an orange button in the top left corner).  The plus about this feature is that it totally eliminates hitting the front and back arrows.

I would recommend this website to anybody who has some free time to browse the web for their interests, you might stumble upon something new that just might make your day!

Editing and Publishing - Let's meet Denise Peachey!

I have had the pleasure of having several different classes with Ms. Denise Peachey and have grown to know her kind character and passion for writing, but for those of you who have never met Denise - let me introduce you:

Denise spends most, if not all, of her time at school.  At the present moment she does not have a job, but over the Summer, Denise, worked as an assistant cook at a summer camp called Cheley Colorado Camp in Estes Park, Colorado.  Denise enjoyed working at the camp immensely, but fears that she will not be able to return to Cheley Colorado Camp in the Summer of 2012.  In order for her to graduate by Spring 2013 she must take a few classes over the summer leaving her no time to take on a job, especially one in Colorado!

Like many others, Denise has suffered from the economic slump that the United States has gone through.  In October of 2008 Denise lost her job and spent most of her time and energy searching for a new one.  When her search yielded no results, Denise decided that it was time to go back to school, and that is what she has been doing since.  She is working full-hearted towards completing her degree, she is double majoring in English and Writing and plans to graduate from Drury in the Spring of 2013.  Denise is currently taking sixteen credit hours - only six of which (two classes) are located on the main campus of Drury.  During the week, Denise travels to Cabool for two more seated classes, and to the library (or anywhere else that offers a free Internet connections) to work on her two online classes.

Denise currently lives with her brother, Donald Peachey, and her father, Dave Peachey.  Donald has recently bought a new house where the three live.  Her father, Dave, is a trucker and is only able to be home on the weekends leaving the house to the two siblings.

The Can't Sleep Blues

Here I sit, five am with a half drunk cup of coffee.  I tossed and turned all night, waking up every few seconds.  How annoying is that?  Finally, I decided to get up, what's the point of just laying there?  I dread how tired work is going to make me today (not that I do anything too strenuous).

There's something awesome about the hours 3-6 am, I don't know how to explain it.  No one else is up and it's almost like you have the world to yourself.  There isn't any worries about how you look or if what your wearing looks stupid, it's just you hanging out with yourself and perhaps a pet or two if you have them.

Perhaps you're not that kind of person though?  The thought of spending so much time by yourself makes your palms sweat and your head hurt - my advice - stay alone more often.  I'm still young, a half of a century old, but, I know the value of spending time alone.  I've actually become so selfish with my own time and now I'm having to work on spending time with a person, now that I have a boyfriend.  It's funny how that works.

Anyway, I didn't mean to get all philosophical on your ass.  This is about the wondrous time of 3-6 am!  Yeah, I know, something is seriously wrong with me.  It's honestly better on Saturdays and Sundays (when I don't have to work) because then I'm about to take a nap at noon! God, do I love my naps.
